Kubota BX2380
Ok I have been looking for a small tractor for the last 60 days. I was really interested in the Kubota BX1870 and when I was ready to buy I found out about the new New BX1880 and it had what I really wanted and I also decided to upgrade and go with the BX2380.

This is where it got weird. I went back to the dealer I was talking to and found out the salesman had already sold me the BX1870! (or so he thought) I had filled out the paperwork for a Kubota loan but didn't sign or agree to anything as I told him I needed to think about upgrading. God did he get upset. He blew up my phone 7 times in three hours telling me I had already purchased the 1870.

I was so upset I decided to go and look at the JD1025R and I liked it but not as much as the 2380. Knowing I could no longer go the dealer I had been working with I didn't know what to do.

I decided to spend some time on the internet boards and found people were buying tractors over the net? Seemed strange to me and if they had to ship wouldn't it be a lot more $$ then the dealer 10 miles away?

I found a lot of reviews for Barlows and decided that the heck and sent them a request for what I was looking for and they sent back a quote in under 24hours. What was really interesting was it included everything I wanted with UCC, Financing and delivery for $1800 less then my local dealer.

I was not sure about using a web dealer so I decided to go to one of the other branches of the dealer I wanted to buy one from. I told them what I was quoted and they told me no way and wouldn't even try and get closer. They were just not interested.

After doing all the research I could I decided on ordering my new machine from Barlow and saving the $2000. (not really as I kept adding to my package lol... 2380, FEL, 60" mower, snowziller 55" HD lights, etc. I think I got a great package for my first machine and looking forward to when it arrives.

I will post pictures when it comes in and give more feedback but Barlow doesn't even have you sign anything until it is delivered and I am happy with it!!!!!

I ordered mine over the phone from a dealer 60 miles away. Had 2 dealers closer but this one had the best price and the others wouldnt budge on price. Gave my credit info over phone and signed papers when the rollback driver dropped it off.

I live in Somerset, Ky where Barlows is not an online purchase for me. I had a business about 2 miles past his lot and drove by there about 3 times a week for about 10 years. The orange called my name as I drove by many times. I've "looked him in the eye" and purchased over 20 Kubotas from him in the past 13 years. Solid dealership that makes enough profit to stay in business and treat people right. Sometimes their online business calls and responses get behind, from what I read here, but patience is a virtue that can be rewarded with dollars in this situation.
Congratulations on your purchase and sure you'll be happy with the purchase and process. The delivery driver, Marvin, is a great retired Army guy that seems to enjoy his job. I threaten to go with him on some of his distant deliveries but haven't yet.:laughing:

Hi,
I bought my BX-25 and my DZ-323 from Messick's in Pennsylvania. They are over a hundred miles from me. After wasting time with the locals in metro D.C. area i went ahead and saved a couple thousand on the BX and quite a bit on the 323. Nothing but great service from them. Delivery was great. And both Kubota products have been awesome.

Never have bought a tractor from Messick's. I live 500 miles from them, but if I were to buy another tractor, Messick's would be my first choice.
I have bought parts from Messick's (for my three old Fords) and they certainly are awesome folks to deal with!

I have bought both online (Barlow's) and local (Okawville Equip). When I purchased online I expected it would be delivered at a later date, asked for an estimated date but I knew that was all it was. Probably the biggest item for delivery is when they have a truck load for my area. I was well pleased with Barlow's i guess I knew it would take awhile so no expectations. Had a good tractor so was in no hurry. Just ordered a F2690 from local dealer, I know they will deliver it as soon as possible, but on this one we are waiting on the factory to ship. So bottom line for me I really had no expectations of a date to get my tractors delivered I knew they would get it done as soon as possible. Yes I would like them the next day , week, or month but I was just happy when I finally received the equipment.

A few years ago I purchased my L4060 from Barlows. Best experience I've ever had. They are very laid back but don't mess around. I think I had it delivered in about a week of ordering it. I just ordered a new B2650 from Brady at Barlows about 3 weeks ago. He did tell me that there will be a 5 week lead time. I just called Barlows today to get an ETA. Brady is on vacation, but the guy that answered said that the machine is just about ready to go. They need to install the toothbar and they will be shipping it to me in Pittsburgh PA area next week. I can't wait.

Barlows delivered my BX23S 5/19/17. Just hit 49 hours. Saved 1800 on tractor price and 1584 in taxes.

I buy as much as I can from local dealer to maintain a relationship in the unlikely event Ill need major service.

I agree with you MadMax31. No one local can ever seem to touch Barlow's price's though. And then you add what you save in tax and it is hard to pass up. I checked with my local dealer first on the B2650 and Barlow's prices was a few thousand cheaper. Granted, that includes the savings in tax, but that is allot of money. BTW, I just got the call from Steve Barlow and they are delivering my B2650 this Wednesday. This was such an easy transaction and those guys are so nice and nice to deal with.

Not to hijack your thread but has anyone purchased tractor accessories online? Are the savings still decent, or would shipping offset any savings? In my case, I'm looking for a front mount snowblower for my BX2350. Thanks!

Some of the comments are confusing to me. When I was looking for a tractor I worked with the local Kubota dealer. He encouraged me to look around online at what's available to get an idea about pricing. When I finally bought my tractor, from him, he beat the price of every deal I could find BEFORE I told him what it was.
Maybe I just got lucky with this dealer. I never felt pressured, just informed. I've been there a couple of times since then, once for a bad battery and the other time most recently for the parts and fluids for the 50 hour service. Both times we had the time to talk about his business and things in general.
This guy should be a Kubota representative and go to other dealers to instruct them how to act.

Just a passing observation... I was cruising rural Northern Maryland, in the Bel Air area, and a pickup truck with an equipment trailer went by me- I am pretty sure it said "Barlow's" on the truck! I wonder if it was from KY, delivering something???

Marvin retired from the US Army a few years ago and says he enjoys delivering/picking up Kubotas all around the US so it probably was Marvin.
