>>>>My problem is I don't have time for anything<<<<

I heard that. Between extending my deck, finishing my downstairs basement, wood working, things that need done around the house. Leaves little time to do PT related things beyond landscaping outside. Not to mention social functions with the wife. As the commercial say's, Life comes at you fast. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

There are taper shaft hubs out that have a brake drum and band and is activated by a cable hooked up to the emergency brake lever. My Dixie Chopper has this arrangement, and the hydraulic motor is similar to the PT wheel motor.

Maybe a go-cart disc brake setup would work.

Your right, it’s very easy to develop a false confidence with this machine rolling along at 8 mile an hour. When something like J.J. mentioned does happen, you realize 1200 pounds rolling down hill out of control is not something to be taken lightly. The PT is not a toy.

When I use any kind of machinery be it hand saws, chain saws or just a simple wood lathe. I always try to envision what might cause an accident, and eliminate and hazards. Very good advice. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
