I notice some pictures such as recadaza's chainsaw pics appear immediately in the message window, whilst mine, and most other pics, appear as links. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Does it have to do with the file type? And another query... when I hit a link to view someone's picture it annoyingly opens in the message box and replaces the message, rather than opening in a new window. Does this happen to everyone or is it something to do with my browser settings?

Thanks.

P.S. 40 degrees C here today. Thats about 104 F. And tomorrow is supposed to be about 42C. (108F). So no snowblower questions from me. I've never even seen snow, although snowblowing looks like it would be fun... once.

Alchemysa,
That was my first ever post and I think what I did was went to manage attachments below the post space and and went to my pictures and found the ones I wanted pressed upload and they appeared in managed attachments and on my post. Hope this helps.

I think this:

"INSERT" the picture puts it directly in the message
while
"ATTACH" the picture gives you the link.

I just found an INSERT thingy. Its the little icon that looks like a mountain(figure that out!). But when I hit it wants a URL address.

Nice bike MrJimi,.. but I'm sorry, I still don't get it. (Must be the heat here). Are you saying you have to post the pics in the gallery first? I don't think thats what recodaza did. (I dont think he even has any pics in the gallery.) When he said he went to 'my pictures' I assume he meant the pics on his own computer.

My pics are hosted on a site called hunt101.com. but there are lots of places that will store your pics on the internet. I right click on the Image Code below the picture on Hunt101 and click on Copy, I then come back to this site and below my message I click on Paste and the picture will appear once you post your message. Hope this helps a bit and is not confusing.

A couple things:

1. Inline pictures are not friendly to people who connect with modems. Therefore links are preferred. Links also give people the option to view or not.

2. This thread has nothing to do with Kubota and will be moved.

Speaking of trouble posting pictures, I was having a different problem and I just straightened it out. Don't know if anyone else might be experiencing this problem. I have posted pictures in the past, but when I tried the other day, each time I hit Manage Attachments, the box would appear for a second and disappear, followed by the red X in a circle sign. There were a couple of possible culprits, the Google Toolbar, and the latest version of Internet Explorer. Clicking Pops Okay on the Google Toolbar didn't help. Finally, in checking out the More Information in the Google Toolbar it mentioned holding down the Control key while clicking on the thing you want, in this case the Manage Attachments button. It worked, now I'm able to post pictures again. Has anyone else had that problem?

Yes I have had the same problem. I just kept clicking 'til it stayed open but your solution is better. Thanks.
