Yes Rich, Kubota Doug at Michigan Sales. I live up in the Copper Country ( that part of the upper peninsula sticking up into Lake Superior). When I did the test drive around the lot, it was the first time I had ever driven an HST and I knew it would take some getting used to. I just want to make sure that I make the right decisions as I figure this tractor will be around for a long time.
I may raise a few acres of cabbage, as the local deerhunters buy it by the truckloads, but probably just keep up the hayfields. That pesky full time job keeps me too busy!
My property is out in the open and it's pretty windy. The wind not only keeps the bugs away in summer, but it blows my main driveway fairly clean in winter. Sometimes I swear I have negative snowfalls as more blows away than is deposited. Trouble is, the driveway to the shop is perpendicular to the prevailing winds and fills up fast. It's only about 175' long, but I have to clear a path with the snowblower to get the plow truck out. I guess I will have fewer "snowbound" days with the new tractor, but more fun getting out!
The freedom hitch does look like a good investment for me and I sent for the video. I'm more concerned about having to lift things than I am about manuevering into place.
