Chris; Way to go!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Make it to the next Michigan brunch and tell us about it. In a twisted way, it's sometimes fun to watch someone embarrass himself. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: R4\'s don\'t allow TC40Ds to Float

An easy way to determine the boyancy of the tires is to look up how much ballast they would add if filled (with something similar to water).

On my JD 4100, filling the rears only adds a few hundred pounds. Since the tractor weighs like 1700 lbs, its not even close to floating.

( The only question I have is whether water might get into your front axle bearings and such. It looks like your front wheel hubs went completely under water. )

What do you suggest be done to check/evaluate for this?
