Rain

Where I live we are needing some rain. Weather patterns are changing and I, like so many others, have a well for water. I don't know where my water comes from except that it ultimately comes from rain. I don't know how large my aquifer is or how many other wells are drawing from it. Because the island is glacial till aquifers here are notoriously hard to map. You can punch a well fifty feet from another and end up in a different aquifer. I am not exaggerating. I am hoping that I am the only well drawing from my aquifer and that it won't run dry until the sun expands and encompasses the earth.

You are a lot more far thinking than I am
All that I need is for it to last until the day after I stop walking the earth. :D

No, Abbott is presently working on trying to fix a horribly broken southern border, the #1 problem.
He'll fix the excess rain problem later.
Yup, as soon as he walks on water. Or even walks.

Lots of rain here in KY. No deluges but consistent precipitation. Probably turn dry this summer. Garden is a joke. May need to put mud tires on the mower.

Same boat as grsthegreat. Not a drop of rain in over a month. But, WoW!!! It sure gets cold in the early AM. It was 34F an hour ago.

Supposed to have 2 dry days then more rain moving in on Thurs.
2 dry days is not enough to make my ground firm enough to run
a tractor without causing major ruts. Just part of farm life. I still
don't want to live anywhere else. (please Lord, ease up on the rain
for just a couple of weeks)
Where are you? It helps the rest of us relate to your circumstances.

We are already getting that smoke. (n)

We have been getting enough rain to get us out of drought conditions and the farmers are getting the fields planted. Good times. I even have all the garden in and it is looking good. No humming birds yet for some reason.
I've had ruby throated hummers for 3 weeks now here in Jefferson County Missouri

We had pretty decent rain Monday and Tuesday, and a sprinkle today.

We have a gentle,,steady rain coming down right now. Just what we need.

If I wasn't doing 7 other things today, it would have been a good time to get the peanuts planted in the garden.
