I'm gonna bet those tractors travel under Chinese flag as least as far as Long Beach
//greg//
That's true Greg. Chinese bottoms to all major single destination US Ports. Jones Act prohibits otherwise.

If what they advertise has any truth to it at all, the tractors should have Goodyear or Titan tires, not chinese tires. Many imported tractors are fitted with rubber sourced (if not in fact manufactured) from US suppliers. My money is on the chinese rubber however... this would be a way to add some US content, perhaps 25% of cost.

I sent an e-mail to this guy & he sent back a long e- mail saying ( I'll post some of the e-mail),.He buys engines from yanmar, transmissions from so korea drive components & sheet metal from china .Other parts come from so. korea, japan, china,canada,itily& yes the us. Front drive lines come in boxes marked jd. the same front axles in his tractors are used by kubota,cub,new holland & others. He went on to say that he is a ex vietnam vet & wants to bring jobs to the american worker.It appears that he is saying in part of the e- mail that. he buys tractors then disassembles them & installs bearings & other items that are made in the US

Syntax error? How can you be an "ex-veteran"?
I'm a veteran too and I haven't figured a way out of it.

The mind boggles. Is it just me, or does anybody else have trouble applying that explanation to the website inference that these are "65-70% American tractors" ? And I don't really follow "jobs to the American worker" unless it's the handful of guys integrate a few parts of America origin into this slew of foreign origin parts.

I will say though, there's a good chance that a lot of the steel in today's Chinese tractors - was once American.

I retired from the military, after more than 20 years of honorable service - and my service connected disabilities currently total 70%. I'd be one of the very last to denigrate honest veterans - especially those disabled in service of their country. But there's something about this whole situation that doesn't sit right with me.

When a clown claims to be a disabled vet and uses that to sell his product, you can bet he is full of crap just like his claim to Sell American made tractors.
I am a disabled Vietnam Vet and one of my sons is a Iraq disabled Vet and it really pisses me off when some jerk says that crap, the POW/ MIA web site is full of jerks who claim to be disabled vets or hero's. They are a disgrace.
