Oly_Mark,
Get a 4n1 bucket for sure.
I have been cleaning up after a timber operation, as well
as clearing land for house sites and driveways with my 4700.
My land is all woods expect for a few acres that where clear
cut. When the armor package finally was released I looked
at it but figured it was not worth the money. I have a bit
over 400 hours on the 4700 in three years, I would have more
but its just been raining and raining since last October. So
far I have only had one "problem" the armor would have
solved. I was picking up more ice storm debris off the road,
I have cleared our road at least three times now, and a
decent pine log rolled back off the FEL and right onto the
front of the tractor hood. I had a full 4n1 bucket and this
log was not "grabbed" and the FEL was tilted just enough for
the wood to move. I did not think anything had happened.
A few weeks after this I opened the engine compartment
to do some work and the log had broken the plastic that holds
the front panel in place. A temp fix with duct tape has been
working for a few months. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Eventually I'll look into
getting some glue/epoxy to really fix the problem.
This one even is the only oops that I have done that the
armour would have stopped. Most of my tractor work is
land clearing so I looked at the armour kit very seriously.
I can't help you much on the implements.
I don't see how I would use the speed match with the work
I do but once I get a tiller maybe that would change.
Later,
Dan
