If it were me I'd get a quality 8'-er,for that tractor.

I second the idea to getting a blade wide enough to cover your tracks when angled....not sure if this is 84" or 96" for your tractor. You should take a close look at the Land Pride RBT35 series. It will do everything you need including the ditching. For my JD5325 I purchased the RBT4096 last year with dual hydraulics(offset & angle) to use in maintaining an existing 1500' driveway and to shape a new 1200' driveway. I couldn't be happier with it. I seriously looked at Bison/Frontier & Woods. Bison/Frontier required side to side changeover of the piston on the offset. Woods was in the running but I felt the Land Pride had slightly better blade construction....Gary

I bought a Land Pride RBT3584, all hydraulic. I just got it Saturday and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but is sure is heavy duty. It tilts, turns and offsets up to 30 inches.

I concur look at the Land Pride RB35 Series, heavy duty unit and built like a tank.

My Woods HBL96 is an excellent match for my 53 hp tractor. It's well built and tilts, offsets, and pivots any which way I need it to.

A Land Pride RBT3596 with skid shoes would be the best blade available for your tractor. How many rear remotes do you have? I recommend that you have 4. 2 for top and tilt cylinders and 2 for the blade itself. One of those for angling the blade and the 2ND one for offsetting the blade. With that combination you will be set to do some major work.  Please let us know what you end up doing. I know that I will be getting an RBT3584  as soon as I can afford one. :( ;)

The manual Land Pride 3596 is my 'dream' blade but I know it cost over $100.

For an all-mechanical (non hydraulic) blade, look at the KK HD series.

I have one (behind a much smaller tractor), but it is VERY HEAVY DUTY. And probabally cheaper than the landpride, woods, et. al.

you cant go wrong iwth any of the name brands, john deere woods land pride...i would look for somthing in the 600-900lb range. yes they are pricy but will last a long time and not get all bent up. i run a 600 lb 7' john deere on my 35hp 1070

I found an old 7' mid duty blade for $100 that was not beat up and worn out and paid for it fast. The LP 3596 is more like $1500. Since it will set outside and mainly be used for snow removal on the country road getting down to the main road I am happy to only have $100 in a blade that will do. We have a heavy Bush Hog brand 8' box blade and a JD 310B backhoe so the grader blade will only be used for light tasks.

On top of that the $100 blade has a removable trailer hitch on the back of it so I can now use it to spot trailers and haul stuff around the place.
