A 1.5” might work.
None of the B’s I have owned, B2620/3200/2650, have had enough clearance for chains. So I have never used them.

I have thought about using chains on the steering axle, but never followed through.

Hmmm... I wondered about front chains.... Yeah, the only reason I was considering chains was to combat some of my many slopes that get a little tricky to navigate in snow... I'm getting older & losing my balls... Seeing the prices for spacers is another reason to rethink things...

Yes, spacers are not cheap. $300 from Kubota.
Chains on front axle worried me, due to lack of spacing there.

But, I flipped/reversed my tires side to side, on the front axle and gained plenty of space.
