Reasons not to buy an RTV 1100C?

been running a kubota rtvx 1140 for a few years, I dont think I would ever look at anything but an rtv x... its been rock solid no issues at all. If i had it to do over i'd go with the 1120 because we never use the 2nd row of seating. It's no hot rod, but it will work all day long, all year long with no fuss.

I'm going to go today and look at the Yanmar diesel powered Kawasaki Mule Pro DX EPS (2 door) and the Pro DXT EPS (4 door).

I got pricing for those out the door at $18,981 and $21,330 with soft cab, heater and power angle plow on both. I would also add the power dump cylinder, but forgot to price that in.

I'm sure it depends on the state you reside in, but owning a UTV, RTV or similar "toy" can cost you big bucks in taxes. In Ks. you pay property taxes on just about everything. Our gov't thinks such items are purchased to go to the sand dunes and play, and the personal property taxes are crazy! I had a 2009 Polaris Ranger XP700, last year the taxes were $180 and it was valued at $5500. Can't imagine what a new one would cost.

If you've seen RTVs and like the heavy duty feel, these other guys will feel like tinker toys.

I have a 2015 mule pro fxt eps that I love. I work the **** out of it with the larger bed in 2door mode and run my grandkids around in 4 door mode. I have very steep hills and it goes up them in 2wd most of the time. The ride is great also. The long wheel base can be problematic but if your not doing any extreme rock crawling you will be ok. I picked it up in 2017 at a Kawasaki dealer in an urban neighborhood. The owner said he has had it on the lot for 18 months because Kawasaki required he have it. He sells mostly motorcycles and has no clientele for it. I got it for $12,500 delivered 250 miles to my place. Good luck with your choice.

You are running into the exact thing I did in 2016. I was going to get a Polaris Ranger and everything I looked at steered me back to the RTV-X1100C. I have 250 hours on mine, with 0 problems. I do wish it had a little more speed, but honestly with the 2-3 mile trips typically taken on this type machine you’re talking seconds, not minutes difference. As far as losing speed on hills, mine will pull down to about 10 mph on the biggest hills around here when towing 2500+ pounds with the AC on. I certainly don’t regret my purchase.

I at least want this same style of CVT, if not the Kubota HST.

I'm looking into the Arctic Cat transmission to see if they are built like the Polaris or what they are doing.

Don't waste yer time on the Textron. I drove one last month, a Prowler I believe.
It is not like the CVT of the Yamaha you have. Slight hesitation after you touch the throttle and then a jerk. Would drive me nuts trying to back the thing up, especially with a trailer.
Their big selling point was how quiet it is, and it is. Extremely quiet, with a crappy tranny.

Well guys, I shocked myself.

I just paid cash for a 2019 Kawasaki Mule Pro DX ESP.

This is a 999ci Yanmar 3 cylinder, long bed and power steering.

Picking it up in a few weeks with OEM glass windshield, OEM full cab, OEM electric over hydraulic bed lift, 72" Warn plow, 4000 lb Warn Winch. Oh, and the upper brush guard and LED headlights are going on. Upper brush guard and LED lights are on this red one in the photos....

$20,000 out the door, but I'm going to spend the $998 at delivery to buy the additional 3 year full warranty that will stack on to the factory 3 year warranty. 6 years total full warranty.
