Not hydro. That's really the only weak link.... But I've looked with Google for reports of failures.... I'm not finding much at all.

One guy I talked to claimed that Yamaha was in cahoots with them to design a system like the nearly bullet proof Yamaha HST+ that I've been abusing for over 12 years. If it needs a $150 belt every decade and a half.... I'm okay with that. Totally okay....

But I feel that this Yanmar is on par with a Kubota diesel engine as being about the best small commercial/industrial engines that money can buy.

Congrats and enjoy. Pics of mine. It’s a bit dirtier and has a few scars but works just fine.

Let's just hope that I made a great choice. When I chose a Yamaha Rhino, I had no idea how great that machine would be or how amazingly bulletproof it would price to be while doing work, work and more work.

I'm honestly nervous making this decision... But here is my thought process.

I already have a Rhino with a small bed. What I'm buying is not a replacement for worn out, broken or otherwise degraded machine.

What I'm buying is a larger bed, and this is 54 long, 53 wide and 11.5 tall. Bigger than a X1120 it X1100C. I'm buying the ability to load 2 to 3 amounts of material/wood and I'm buying the ability to hit a switch and dump that load.

What I'm buying is a heated cab, comfort from the cold all winter while plowing and checking gas wells... and protection from the rain and snow while plowing or checking gas wells.

What I'm buying is a MASSIVE flat and wide bench seat that can fit at least 3 folks, 4 people in a pinch....

And I'm in the position where a local contractor is picking up my Rhino and plow next week for $5,500 with the plow and Warn winch.... That 13 year old machine pays for 25% of this new machine!

Are the stock (non LED) headlights horrible....? Do I need to spend $350 for the optional LED ones?

Did you add the dump cylinder? Tell me about it if you did.

If you are looking to just ride around in the dark they are fine. I am able to get around on mountain trails at night without a problem. But if you are looking to do some serious work I think they might be lacking.

I did not add the dump cylinder. So far, I have not needed it. But haven’t loaded any gravel or dirt, just wood and tools. I use a
dump trailer for the dirt and gravel.

I'm so dang nervous. The cab and bed size is why I did this over the Kubota....

But that HST Kubota transmission and factory hard cab is amazing.... And so so slow.

But this is one of those times in life when you have to poop or get off the pot.

Getting a new toy is exciting! I hope the dealer has enough experience to install all your options in a professional manner! ( you did say this was kind of a sideline item that Kawasaki mandates they buy)
At any rate, you sound competent enough that you will make sure things are installed and working correctly. Again, good luck with it!
