Interesting! My seat fell off my BX24 the day the dealer delivered it when I was demonstrating for my wife how to turn it around (you spent HOW much!!!). Initially I saw a nut on the mower deck and thought I'd never find where it came form. About 2 minutes later I figured it out. Have not seen the recall yet, but when I was at my dealer I checked seats on the lot and they are double nutted.
I got mine today, and my dealer was surprised to hear about it. It is going to be intersting to see how this plays out as my dealer is about 100 miles away and I don't have a trailer.

I am ready to buy a BX, but this issue is my only concern ... the dealer I would by from is also about 100 miles away and I also do not have a trailer, so for any warranty fixes, I am wondering what happens.... It could make some difference in my decision to buy the BX, so I am calling the dealer tomorrow to find out about this situation... keep us posted how yours responds.
Two questions:
1. Is this across the entire BX line?
2. Does anyone know of a way to register your tractor in order to get these notices? I bought a used bx-23 about two weeks ago, and if I didn't read this site, I would have no idea about this recall
This is just for the new BX-50 series, not the old BX's. I read the bullitin the other day and as I recall the change is just swapping out some bolts to ones with finer thread. Why, I don't know.
