Removing old fence the easy way

Do you have an easy way for removing old metal field fence?
for the the metal post I take a chains tie up to the FEL and all you need is 3 loop around the post but the last loop go under the second one and hook again on the chain, that three loop will grab to it and pull it out... it works with any post, T, square or round. As for the fence itself well there is not 100 ways to go at it other then cutting the hay wirer and falling it down and rolling it.

These particular metal fences were installed in the 1930s on split oak posts. Some still standing. Some on the ground at this point. What I've done is to use the teeth on my backhoe like a powered rake to pull the fence out of the ground and vegetation to roll it up. Have to watch for broken pieces of wire because I don't want flat tires later.

Hay Dude's project reminds me of playing with lincoln logs as a child, but I didn't have a FEL to play with back then.

yeah I ran into this as well... it is very hard to pull out .... and I was doing exactly that only with my root rake grappler...

Bale spears are a nice secondary attachment. They can do more than just their name.

Never had an occasion to move bales, but so far I've made two sets of forks for debris, limbs, kitchen appliances, etc. The first was made for the L3200 of stuff we had laying around the shop at work. They clamped onto the bottom of the bucket via a chain/ratchet strap arrangement. That tractor didn't have a QA bucket. Worked OK.

The second set was made for the L4240 with bale spears and a QA frame a local guy listed on Craigslist. This one is a bit more heavy duty. The QA sure makes it more user-friendly.

I did something very similar with white vinyl 3 rail fencing. First post came out super easy, the second post was set in concrete and I bent my hay spear getting it out. Then I learned that it's just about impossible to unbend a hay spear. I also learned that a bent hay spear doesn't slide out of a bale very well, so after a year of dealing with a bent spear, I bought a new one.

Lesson learned, I should have had my spear all the way though the post, but I'm not pulling anything out of the ground with my hay spears ever again!!!

Looks like you have the right tool for the job.
I hope someone has refilled those holes. Far too many little critters fall into them, can't get out and come to a bad end. Big critters can also step into them and break a leg.
