Repaint YM2000

I got the Wheels finished, started trimming in the motor and insides of various parts. I'm Painting the Frame black, I want to be able to touch up with a black spray can if I get any bumps or bruises. Also to make look newer like the USA model yanmars.

What color ist he frame/motor going to be? I see that you painted the motor black and frame the yanmar green. Are you going to keep this arrangement or say with one generl color? Those rims look brand new, so do the tires. Great job! :thumbsup:

Oh I cheated on the tires I sprayed them with black paint. I stripped the wheels and any rusted frame areas with a HF mini needle scaler Compact Air Needle Scaler. Makes the metal look hammered similair to the engine block. Also ordered some stainless Metric Hex hardware Metric socket products, Metric socket button head screws, Stainless A-2 (18-8) to replace all the small rusted fastners, It was cheaper than buying standard hardware from the big box stores, Around $15.00. Regards

You have way better weather there than up here in the PNW. Looks great but we could not do that outside other than maybe July or August.

Started putting it back together yesterday. I wanted to note that this Valspar Hardner works with Rust-Oleam oil based primers and paints as well. It will dry overnight with this hardner when added by instructions. Regards Shawn

I used Valspar hardener with gloss Rust-Oleum to paint a horse trailer and it did a great job... even with a roller
