WELL.....the 80w one from superior lighting appears to be gone from their webpage, and it is the one I wanted to buy.

I hesitated, because I went to the barn to check breakers there last night, in case that's what it was and not the light, and the light came on on my short drive to the barn. Just a bit later it was flickering, then came on solid, and working ever sense. On now. It's on it's way out and I still will replace.

But thru research, I really liked the 10,000 lumen of the one that appears to now be gone.

I don't like the harsh white light of LED lighting. I'm curious how long all this consumer LED lighting will last?

Kind of off topic. I was seeing a thing on RFI from LED auxiliary vehicle lighting, that was causing trouble with mobile radios. Why would LED lighting require drivers that work in the RF spectrum?

Something to that. I know led light in garage door opener can cause issues.

I know, you can hear the LED walk/don't walk light on an AM radio, but I don't know what part of the circuit is making the noise.

LEDs are available with many color temperatures. The early ones were the harsh blue white ones. Regarding the RF, some leds uses unshielded high frequency switching power supplies. LEDS run on low voltage DC, Grid is usually 120 or 240 AC

I have the 80w from superior and it痴 much better than the old sodium lights. You will love it

The switching supply makes sense. But why does it have to be so noisy?

When you get old, you can't have enough light. I mean, like stadium lighting! So you might as well just have enough light to prevent stumbling around in the dark, but it won't be enough to work on anything.

I was given a Falcon Light, I think by Cooper Lighting. I had to repair it, but replaced some quartz lights with it. It is used for Civic Monuments and Flags. Quite Amazing!

I am a little surprised with those that want to hang on to the old tech heat producing lights vs. moving to LEDs. I admit I don't have experience with the particular ones in question, but the high wattage LED bank lighting I have used is impressive. The heat produced means less energy is being converted to light.

I'm just leery about spending money on junk that won't last. No economy in that. Just your hard earned money converted to garbage. Like the LED X-MAs lights I thought I bought for the last time. Gradually, went dimmer, and dimmer, then all failed!
