Paul, as usual your workmanship is terrific!!! I do have a question though. With the enormous amount of snow that you get is the switch protected from heavy accumulations of snow or ice that might jam the switch in either the open or closed position? Keep up the good work and thanks for the pics of your products.
Thank you sir! I doubt very much that the snow would ever get up to the bottom of the floor. If it did I think it would be safe to say that the switch staying on would be the least of my worries because I would very badly stuck
The leaver you see sticking out of the switch is actually a long spring that passes through the protected boot. If anyone is installing a switch like this the spring can be trimmed to make the perfect fit. You can also rotate that spring 360 degrees and it will activate the switch every time making it ideal for this type of application. I attached a picture of the switch with a detailed description of it. If by some chance the beeper did come on when I didn't want it to I installed a by-pass switch to over ride it and turn it off.
A lot of heavy equipment use this type of switch and it's been one of the most reliable switches to use for this type of application. Appreciate your comments. Thanks again. Paul
