Review - LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler

/ Review - LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler #61
Ordered one from Amazon today. If it works will be worth the price.

Delivered today, fit the grease gun threads perfectly. This thing actually works great! Now I only need two hands instead of three. The one negative is the lever on the LockNLube will not fit thru the 3/4" zerk access holes on my FEL. Will need to reinstall the old connection for those or buy additional gun.

Try this, go to your local auto parts store, get a zerk with the 1/8 inch pipe thread and screw it into the old connector.

Then lock the LockNLube on to it and grease the recessed zerks!

Okay I see what you're saying. Don't know if that will work? Need to measure distance from access hole to recessed zerk. Thanks for the suggestion.

I posted this on a different thread about this coupler somewhere, but thought it might help with the discussion of the overall size of the unit for getting into small areas.

I measure my standard couple comparing it to the LockNLube - my standard connector was 10mm and the LockNLube was 11mm - only 1mm difference. But as said above for deeply recessed fittings, the lever will be a problem.

Yeah, it's not the diameter of the head that's the problem. It's the overall bulkiness of the entire unit. I keep a standard coupler on my primary gun. Use the LnL on a secondary gun. When it's needed, the LnL is a valuable tool and worth the cost. But too complicated, bulky and time consuming for me to use primarily.

Well, about 6 months ago I said I'd contact the company with the issue with one of my two LockNLube couplers. To review, one works great and is a wonderful product that works exactly as described, the other has a tendency to slip off about half the time. With winter, and farming in full stall, I finally took the time to follow up.

Called their toll number and I believe the owner answered to provide customer service. What a great guy! Very easy to talk with.

We had an extended discussion about the isolated issue and possible causes. The problematic coupler is an old style and the newly designed style has replaceable jaws and seal. In fact, new purchases come with a spare set of jaws and a new replacement seal included. The old style, like mine, can't be repaired or disassembled. In my opinion you'd have to do some serious greasing over many years before the coupler would need service.

Anyway, the customer service of this company is top-notch. If the slightest problem might arise, I am totally confident that it will be made right with a phone call.

For those of you still on the fence about this product, you might try giving it a go. They now even have a 30-day free trial and will reimburse $3 for postage if you decide to send it back. I'd bet you'll keep it.

LocknLube grease gun coupler ends greasing frustration.

So are they sending you a new replacement?

I had been on the fence, just placed my order. Thank you for the update.

I've had the newer LockNLube unit about four months. Long enough to lube all the zerks 2X on the tractor. There are few recessed zerks on the FEL - its a tight fit but the unit fits and greases them also. I'm impressed - nice to not have to hold the nozzle tight to the zerk - gives you two hands to operate the gun.
