Afternoon rback33.
No sir not a crazy idea,for its a blast doing something like this...Brotherhood did samething w/motorcycle from Conway,NH to New Orleans,LA.

Meet and Greets w/pics than after adventure done have someone tell the story...Haul'n...the only problem we had once the ball got rolling just about everyone wanted to help out...from point A to point B straight shot didn't happen.

Seems Ironic to me that the two of us are talking about this and both of us are one satate over from either the origin or destination in the wrong way...

It would not be a problem depending on the condition of the tractor. If the tires didn't hold air and it didn't run it would be hard to transfer it from trailer to trailer. If it did have good tires and could roll easily it could be quite easy to get something going.

One state away is all. That is nothing. Try 5+. But if it gets close to the west side of TX, NM or CO, I'll make sure it sees Phx, the Grand Canyon and Monument valley before it starts its trip back east.

Not really, almost every tractor I own and runs gets used around here. One B, and the 81RC are in need of restoring before they get back into the swing of things but everything else finds itself hooked to something during the summer. I do need a few more though.

Hey you guys... this got me to thinkin... in the new readers digest that just came out there was an interesting story about a guy that started with one red paper clip and "traded up" with people until he ended up with a a house. Everyperson he traded with was a FTF meeting.

Now this got me thinkin.. surely there are enough TBN members that would like to be part of a fun story to tell that a bunch of people could coordinate to transfer this Super C from MO to VT with pictures of each exchange to document the transition. I would LOVE to start the move, but Kansas is cetainly on the wrong side of MO for me to get involved.. what do you guys think? fun idea or am I just crazy?

Being the current owner of the Super C, I say, I'M IN!!! I'll help someone load it as long as the ultimate goal is for it to make it to Scott in Vermont!!! It does not run. I could probably make the tires hold air. Not sure what the tractor weighs, Scott probably knows pretty close though. I'm currently in Iraq so this can't start before January. I think the wife would take a shot at ya if she caught you dragging it out of the barn!!

This sounds like a worthy cause. One that could become an epic adventure. The sort of thing we should all be chomping at the bit to be a part of.

I would imagine the fastest/most direct route would include I-64 from the St. Louis area, across Southern Indiana to Louisville Kentucky, then turn northeast on I-71, taking the trail on through (and past) Cincinnati Ohio.

I could (in January or later) handle the leg from Evensville (or possibly a few miles west of there) on to Cincinnati. (or maybe a few miles east of there)

If that doesn't "fit in" with the grand scheme of things, I could also serve as a transfer point. I'm south of Louisville by 20(+) miles, but almost directly adjoining a bypass hiway (around Louisville) that connects in minutes to I-64/I-71.

In the Evansville area, I'm sure with little persuasion, we could get TBN member "Dargo" involved to help us with the transfer from trailer to trailer.

I've got a 20'+5' 14,000 GVWR gooseneck. Easy on/easy off.

And think about it!..... Imagine the thread, pictures and all, documenting the journey!

I have a Kubota B7800, Landpride PHD, 800 pound ballast tank, (that sounds cool) Ballast Tank, Humm note to self. Cub Cadet lawn something with a 50 inch cutting deck and 42 inch front mount snow thrower and soft cab.

Humm, Well I am a natural Blond so it changes all the time. If it is shiny and I catch my reflection in it that is what I want. Some times I want a brush hog and some times I want a Chipper and some times I want a Backhoe. I don't know I want everything

IL and hook up with FarmWithJunk somewhere maybe near Paducah or somewhere between Murphysboro and his hometown area. It depends on where it is in MO, if anything I may meet ya in St. Louis area and meet up with Farmwithjunk.

Wish list is pretty large but I really want to get a hydraulic auger mounted on my backhoe arm,quick attach with seperate controls/foot pedal.Man I can't wait! Also a hydraulic full tilt box scraper....... Ummm donuts.........Oh a case or JD dozer with 6 way Please.

I have a Kubota B3030 w/FEL, 60" MMM, Landpride 72" Rear Blade, an EASY-RAKE lawn vacuum modified for the 3PTH, an old Ford 2 X 14" plow, a 48" section of a JD spring tooth drag modified to fit the 2" receiver hitch on the 3PTH so it can be used as a 3PTH implement, a 26 gallon 12 volt sprayer with a 10' boom, a 48" lawn roller and an old two wheel 4' X 7' trailer. And a homemade 3PTH subsoiler.

The B3030 just turned 100 hours today.

I also have a JD318 w/50" MMM, Front blade and snowblower.

My wish is for a Ford 850 or 860 like I we had when I was a kid. What a workhorse. I would like to fully restore one just for the heck of it and maybe drive it in Parades.

The tractor is located 100 miles North of KC, East three miles off I35 highway. I'm about six hours Northwest of St Louis.
