ROPS

My tractor doesn't have a ROPS i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one. I have a b6100E. I've come close to rolling it before and it really scared the cr*p out of me. So close i nearly fell off. Anyways better safe then sorry. All info will be greatly appreciated

I had a B7100 that did not have a ROP. Sometime in the 90s <font color="orange"> Kubota </font> sent me literature about buying and installing a proper ROP's from them. The price was not bad. Check with your local dealer they may still have a offer available. I believe the price was less than $200 US.

Also, just remember the "S" stands for "system" and the system consists of two parts: the roll bar and a seatbelt to keep you in the protection zone.

I hope you find one - it really does work when used properly. Several months ago, someone posted video links with both belted and unbelted crash test dummies in rollover tests. They were real eye-openers.

If Kubota doesn't offer them, search the web for <font color="blue"> tractor ROPS</font> . I used to have a link to a list of 3rd party manufacturers that offered ROPS for various tractors. Unfortunately I lost that link.

According to Kubota's website, our B6100E qualifies for a factory ROPS at a discount price, since it was not originally equiped with one. See links above. I don't know how it all works through the dealer, you should probably call Kubota's customer service line and ask.

as someone else mentioned the roll over bar is not of much use it u don't stay in the seat, you also need a seat belt.

ooo, the safety police will be all over ya shortly, telling all sortsa horror storys about how you will kill yourself and if ya do this and that will happen or the neighbor will get hurt and ya will be sued blah blah blah, but i firmly belive if you wanna remove your rops thats your choice, i dont think i would drive any differently rops or not personaly, a rops will not save you in all cases so best is just simply not to have a tractor rollover in the first place, just keep in mind bailing out wont happen, machines go over so fast that you have no time to do that, i tipped a forklift once, older one with no rops, mast stopped it from going all the way over, had it not had a tall mast it woulda come right ontop of me since that was where i was laying on the ground when it stopped. none of our tractors have rops on them, i wish my big ford 8000 did since i use it on alot of steep hills for haying, i may add one someday, but i dont consider any of the tractors unsafe for not having a rops at all
