Do you have any garden to plant this spring? Ken Sweet

Just for the deer. I like turning vegetables into animal protein. I just plant for them, since I would need a 10 foot fence to keep anything for myself with the numbers around here.

I'm looking for a 3 point 2, 3 or 4 row planter without much luck. It has to be in good working condition if not new, as i am no mechanic. I have a Kubota L5740 and already have a good disc and cultipacker, so I don't think the planter needs attached cultivators, as the soil will be prepped.
Anyone know of anything available reasonably priced? My fall back is to hire a local farmer to plant rows for me, but I would rather do it myself. The Yetters look nice, but I can't find a local dealer or any or sale. Same with Covington.
Thanks.

I speant all winter looking when I was in the market. I finally bought the tool bar an got some max emerge 2 row units an pit no till coulterr an liquid fert injectors on it. We came out 1/5 of the cost of buying a new planter. Its a 4 row unit with yetter markers. My dad says its best planter he ever used an we plant around 100 acres a year with it

Sounds great and beyond my skill level. If it's that good & that inexpensive to make, you could probably sell them for 100% profit (if, say $4k for "new like" and you are making them for under $1k, I believe you could easily sell a quality 4 row for $2k).
I have a disc and cultipacker, so I just need the planters on a 3 point tool bar. I'm not looking for a perfect crop - mainly some height for cover and if any ears grow, that's a bonus.

We got a super deal on the row units an we still had about 8000 in it. But it is a true 1 pass planter. Fert injecters. As well as herbicide an inceticide applicators. But it has paid for itself several times over. At the time we built it an equilivent jd was dang near 30000

Making the Covington one row look like a bargain, I suppose. Talk about being clueless about the market :)
Too rich for me as a hobbiest, but thanks for the info!

I'm in the same boat looking for a small planter. I've been watching craigs list and ran across this one which is less than an hour from my house. I am no expert when it coems to planters so I thought I'd get your opinions. Is this a machine I can still get parts for? It looks like it might not require a whole lot of soil prep but again I am not an expert in this area.
Planter 2row 3pt
Ferguson planter 3pt 2 row 36 to 40 inches. 2 sets of plates, used it to plant sweet corn. New paint ready to go. Have $600. in it OBO.
