I purchased an old running gear with spoked wheels with 687 W on the hub/dust caps. I am missing 1. I'd like to restore it. Does anyone know where I might be able to get the missing cap?

It looks like the old international symbol on the hub

After a lot of work, here is a finished wheel. I've had no luck finding the hub cap.

I have posted a link to an old thread at redpower discussing your exact missing hub cover.

Have no clue if those guys are still kickin, but it would be worth the time to sign up over there and message those guys. Never know - he might have found and bought extra!!

Another lead:

Here is a link to an outfit that seems to have a decent stock of old stock. I don't think they have your part - but I bet they know exactly what it's off of..maybe give you another place to start.

I enjoy the hunt....don't be afraid to google - I can usually find something given enough time. One little clue changes the entire search.

Good luck!!

I learned that this is a McCormick Deering all purpose farm truck. 1930's or 1940's. I sent emails to a few places trying to locate the hub cap. I did order a manual from eBay which should make putting the wheels back one a bit easier!
