As for the seat switch issue, that’s why on my NX I did redo the seat mount to defeat it. All other safety switches are still in use.

Your tractors shut off if you come up off the seat?
Really?
That痴 crazy.
If mine did that, I would have disabled it as soon as the dealer got it off the trailer.
Yep. Gives you about 1.5 sec...enough to pop up real quick and look at something, but if butt not in seat, it shuts off. Same for starting...in N, parking brake engaged (just foot on brake pedal won't do it), and butt in seat, PTO off - even auto PTO with implement raised. Good in that you can't get too stupid and run yourself over. Bad when you want to hop off to chuck a rock or something when bush hogging. Real bad using pallet forks at times since hard to see tips.
I can live with it. Don't really love it, but not a high enough level of annoyance that I hate the machine or anything. Problem we have is wife is a lot shorter and lighter than I am. So if I have seat suspension adjusted for my weight, tractor is continually cutting off or won't start for her.
Overall...at least for now...it is probably a good thing. My LS would just let you hop off in gear, engine running. If you hit a HST pedal it would cut off, but otherwise you could hop off. And it took a pretty good slope for it to move sitting in gear idling but no HST pedal input. The HST brake just held. The NX - at least how I have HST response set - has virtually 0 HST brake hold. Not sure if I'm even calling that correct thing - "HST brake" - but idling in M and no HST pedal input, it still wants to roll if ground is just very slightly out of level. So it at least has made me aware it is different and my poor habit of hopping off in gear hasn't got me hurt or let tractor roll into something since it nannies me enough to prevent it.
Tangent: what's the point of the auto-PTO? Mine has it, but I never use it. In fact, before switching on the PTO, I like to throttle down to idle, and bring the implement up speed slowly. It seems like slamming the PTO on at 2600 RPM would be hard on the PTO, engine, and implement. What am I missing?
