Same (Italian) tractor

   / Same (Italian) tractor #11
I checked out the Lamborghini tractors. They were kinda weird looking. I looked at their CUTs. In the pictures, they show the ROPS in the center of the tractor ahead of the steering wheel rather than the traditional rear of the tractor. It may be just me, but I think that would be a distraction to have the ROPS in the center.

There's a dealer locator on the US site. It goes by your zip code and will search up to a 1000 mile radius.

My computer is balking at bringing me to the www.sameduetz-fahr.com site although I have been to the Italiam one (frustrating as my Italian stinks) Also the one the dealer who is located near St Johnbury Vermont sent me to, lamborghini.net. Watch out for that one it can send you to an extemely nasty **** site instead. Some info I found interesting, Same/lamborghini/ hurlimann was sold by the Lamborghini family to a company doing buisness as Same Deutz Farrh but they still make lamborghini brand tractors which are (in some models) identical to the Same tractors with a different paint job. Some of the tractors sold as "White" in the 90's were made by them. Same is pretty well known in the Orchard industry - they also favor the Goldoni Italian tractors, but Same /lamborghini is building a real dealer network and Goldonis are only sold in certain apple areas. (I just happen to live ten miles from an Orchard equipment supplier that carries them -they are wicked cool looking) the model i am looking at is their biggest CUT, the Same Solaris 45 aka Lamborghini 450 Runner -exact same (no pun intended) tractor. It seems like a lot of tractor for the money. I am an amatuer farmer so having the machine out of commision fro a couple of weeks doesn't scare me too much. Is this my mid life crisis tractor? Mark

I see you are looking at the Solaris 45. Is the price of $19,000 in your first post including the cab with heat and air? If so sounds like a good deal. If you do not need a cab you may want to take a ride to the south of you to KEATS in Keene and take a look at the Century 3040. Unless you have to have cab and a front or mid PTO (I think they are all options on the Same) the 3040 is very comparable. The Solaris 45 is 42 gross hp and the 3040 is 43 gross hp. The 3040 is quite a bit heavier than the Solaris. What about a loader? I did not see any mention of one. The Century C-50 is built like a tank yet detaches in seconds. I am not sure but it looks from the Same spec sheet that the Solaris 45 only has one hydraulic pump and the flow rate is listed in metric so it is hard to compare. If you plan on using a loader two pumps are a lot nicer. You don’t lose your power steering when using your loader. What ever you do, I wish you good luck. If you do look at the Century I would be very interested in how you compare the two tractors. Feel free to P/M me if you would like to speak with me. I would be glad to help you or answer any questions I can.
Once again
Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Chipperman,
Yes the 19K includes heat, air, and FEL (which can be seen at EGhardy@videotron.CA - the hardy 35ST) The loader itself looks very heavy duty. Thanks for the tip about the pumps. I plan on checking out the Century, byt didn't know about the place in Keene, Thanks!! I'll be sure to give you my take on it. Where did you see the Specs for the Solaris 45? Mark

Here is the link to the Solaris page from their you can down load the pdf. spec page.

KEATS is in Keene across from the new Home Depot. I think that is route 9. He is a large NH dealer and does excellent with Zetor and Century. He has an excellent reputation for service. If I were buying a tractor I would want to know what the service rep is for the dealer I was buying from. Again if you think I can be of further help just P/M me and I will contact you.
Thanks and Good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

PS: What year is the Same? I have spoken to a Same dealers who took on Century because he says that Same is not competitive on compacts. I might wonder why the dealer near you is so cheap. Maybe the dealer near you just wants to move it.

ahhh...I do believe your SAME history is a tad bit flawed!! SAME started making tractors in 1927. Lamborghini did not start in the tractor business until 1948. In 1972 SAME bought Lamborghini's tractor business. By 1978 SAME had added Hurlimann. Hence SLH as the name. In 1995 SLH bought the tractor and combine end of KHD(Deutz-Fahr) Ever since then the company has been called SD-F. Oh ya as for the corporate site,if you click on english, you'll be on the right site.
