Scan tool for ls tractors

I'd have to buy an adapter for 9 pin round to use a Bluetooth transmitter.

9 pin round to use a Bluetooth transmitter

Interesting... I thought that standard 16 pin obdii connectors were required in the USA

I wonder if tractors are exempt?

Would be an interesting question for New Holland dealers.

I was thinking of this too. Adding an oil temp gauge and an EGT gauge.

What tool is that? I use the Blue Driver for my scan tool on other vehicles (havent put it on the tractor yet) but I like how that one is laid out.

In the Torque Pro app you can add themes. This theme is just a nice blue theme that was in the list. The actual gauge page I made from adding the gauges I wanted onto a blank page.

I just went down the list of available sensors and used the ones I thought most useful.

Most ag tractors I've seen use the 9 pin round. Maybe New Holland wanted the round on their models so they are standard across the models.

This is going to sound bad, but I cannot find the OBD2 plug on my tractor. I see a photo in the service manual of it, but does not show where it is. I took off the lower dash cowling and looking around suspecting it would be there. I dont have a reason to plug into it, just want to know where it is and tinker with my scanner.
If anyone (or everyone) knows...

Thanks!

This is from memory and I only saw it once, but I think it is near the right ??? rear of the engine and accessed standing next to the tractor.

It's at about knee level.

It is not hidden under any panel, but I think it had a dust cap.

Not sure if it's the same but on mine you have to remove the right side panel under the ignition key. Mine is a round 9 pin receptacle (CAT style plug). Had to buy an adapter plug that converts it to standard OBD II. Then plug in the ELM 327 and used an Android phone with torque pro or similar program.

If you have the service manual 2, look in the electrical section page 7-59 and 7-66.

7-59 is the round plug and 7-66 shows a obd style plug. Guess it may depend on the market it's sold in.

Remove the lowest dash trim panel, may even have a hole on the lower right side of that panel in front of the plug. Pretty much right under your key switch.

George do you mind sharing which adapter and elm327 that you bought.
