Recently needed to replace a part on an old Charbroil gas grill and the part was listed at Charbroil and other places as discontinued/not in stock. The only place that seemed to have it in stock and available to ship in a reasonable one week time was 'SearsPartsDirect' online and even had the original Charbroil part number. I figured this was an NOS part in their 'warehouse', thus the availability. Twenty days later nothing to indicate shipment, so I check the order status and it states, 'status from supplier is not yet available'. So not a stocked part and they probably won't be able to get it since it is discontinued.
Called their customer service to cancel order and got a girl with a heavy accent (guaranteed not in US). She supposedly did her thing to cancel the order and said I'd get an email the following day to confirm the cancellation. Now 5 days later no email or any indication of a refund. Next step will be going through the credit card company.
I found through a Google search that others are having similar issues with Sears, both with returns and refunds.
The final days of Sears are drawing near......... stay away.
