I have some medical issues, so I run out of steam easily. Just a few minutes ago, I un-quick-hitched my box blade, quick-hitched the bushhog (had to adjust the top hook one set of holes), got it leveled with the lift arm adjuster, got the top link length about right, but then ran out.
So I was SUPER pleased when my wife skillfully connected the pto shaft and greased up the tail wheel. It does help a lot to start by making sure that you can rotate either the implement pto shaft or the tractor pto stub, that the pto shaft halves slide smoothly, that the pto stub is reasonably clean, and that there's some sort of lube on it all. Fluid Film has been my favorite for a long time now. I very rarely need to add any more and the stub stays pretty clean. She even came inside before she went to bushhog to tell me that she made sure it "clicked" and she tested it by pulling back and forth.
I agree it can be frustrating at times, but c'mon guys!!
