Septic System Problems

If your septic pumper is correct and the leach field is working correctly then this is a blockage between the house and septic tank. I don’t believe it’s a venting issue. A venting issue wouldn’t magically start 60 years after the House was built......not sure how this went down that rabbit hole.
.
I agree with RN

I agree. I would think if it was a vent it would pull water out of the toilet. I had a similar situation at my previous house. There was a sewage sump and ejector pump upstream from the hall bath which was the last fixture in the house heading to the main sewer line. If the hall toilet would bubble and gurgle when the ejector pump would discharge it was a sure sign there was a blockage in the main line exiting the house. We had city sewer, not septic.

Cast iron sewer pipe is notorious for crud building up on it, modern ABS pipe is described as "self cleaning" and grease and soap scum will not stick to it and build up. We had cast iron where I grew up and it required cleaning every few years.
I agree with the poster that pulling the toilet and snaking the drain out to the tank may help. You may however need to have a more thorough cleaning done with a roto rooter type tool that will scrape the crud off of the inside of the pipe and open it back up to original capacity.

Called "iron fungus". Had that in my first house.

Get about 5 or 6 5-gal buckets filled with water. Dump them in toilet one after the other. Good way to push out minor clogs.

The cast iron has rusted on the inside and the rust has fallen into the vent. Use the snake with a couple magnets attached to see if I am right. It has happened many times at the hospital I work at.

Yup!
I absolutely agree!
The cast Iron is likely the culprit.
Cast iron collects and holds grease, causing buildup.

if the venting has a horizontal run as some do years ago it can sag causing a blockage if it fills with water, the bubbling is obviously the least pressure, it can push air around the toilet trap easier than say 10 foot of sagged abs full of water, my guess is the vent is water logged
