What would be the circumstance where someone would be warranted to tell a cop that he needs to lay off the doughnut shop? How could that be said in any other tone than degrading and sarcastic?

So if I'm legally protesting it's okay to yell obscenities at the cops and call them names? It's okay for me to legally stand out in the road in front of your house and call you a fat arse??

First off, if you're on the public road in front of my house, I most likely won't hear you if your tyring to scream anything at me LOL

As far as yelling obscenities at LEO's, honestly I don't know, as noted, never protested before. Is there a differencec between hollaring obsenities and telling a cop he has a fat arse?

That said, is it agasint the law to call cops name while your protesting? Honestly don't know. If it's agasin't the law, I guess the police could arrest the people, correct? That said, I'm guessing there is this ***** of a rule about this thing called free speech somewhere...

Generally speaking, I'd guess if you're doing riot duty as a LEO, it's not allright to slug someone for calling you name (unless you're in a 3rd world country where the dictators men are enforcing the law). Just like it wouldn't be ok to let the dogs loose on people for the same reason.

Keep in mind, just becuase you're right (or within the law) doesn't always mean you should do it IMO.

I'm the wrong person to talk to about Human vs animal life. But I thought the point , like it or not, was to save the life of humans and sacrifice animals. A man is dead, that I know. Probably someones father or son. Like I said, who knows what happened.

I wasn't even aware that there was issue or discussion about dogs and crowd control.

I was watching the documentary about how the Government squashed the "Bonus Army" in DC so many years ago, killing a few.

So much human behavior can only be understood, putting it into Caveman and Tribal Mentality perspective. Much about humans hasn't changed since then.

It might surprise you Richard, how peoples own interests and beliefs can truly cloud their memory of events.

Nothing about human nature surprises me. That comes from years of dealing with all types.

Funny how this spirals downhill. And it's most definitely ALWAYS the cop's fault.

Reductio ad absurdum, calling someone a name is not the same thing as throwing molotov cocktails or rocks, there's a long history of name calling being free speech. the government (cops are part of the Government) can't stop you from saying things (with exceptions as ruled by various Courts, yelling fire, inciting violence), mind you, someone standing on the public right of way that says something odious to a private person has a Right to that speech, and they should know that sometimes that speech will have consequences.

The irony is I have no clue to what video you're refering to:laughing:

I just brought up the example of a LEO turning "a dog loose to flush the bird out" as an example of why a well trained aggressive dog may be of use (genearlly in a LEO's hands).

My primary point is that dogs owned by families that show signs of aggression are more likely a liability than an asset to those families who own them. I have my dogs to alert me and my family. It's up to myself (and my family when I'm not there) to protect ourselves as well as our dogs.
