Wrong in many ways. But funny!
They would be fined and made to rake out the ruts and re-seed. That was total bs.
I had to dodge 1x6s flying out of the back of a pickup like a deck of cards recently going up 303 from Silverdale to East Bremerton. My wife did not want me to follow the SOB driver. I tried calling it in when we got to Seabecks Pizza in Silverdale but I never got the license plate. Ever heard of Seabecks Pizza?
In my state they would be charged with damaged to state supported property, and have to have their insurance pay for damages, As well as leaving a scene of a property damage accident.
Replace "SOME" with "MOST" and you are getting close. Problem isn't confined to truckers though. MOST drivers drive like A holes. Very rare is the consistently cautious and polite driver.
True, and this topic has been so beat to death with no resolution/agreement it has been banned on many online forums.
I've seen truckers (and others) tailgating left-laners where those left lane drivers are themselves already passing cars to the right, just doing it at 65 mph instead of,say, 75 mph. If I'm in the process of passing other vehicles I would never move to the right.
Also, in busy urban areas the right lane can become an unsafe trap due to slow moving vehicles, heavy traffic and car/trucks entering and exiting where you have lost any opportunity to move back left.
I'm so old that when I was a child, I didn't even have a cellphone or pager for my parents to get ahold of me.
Got on my bike & I might ride to a town 15 miles away. Even drank water out of the hose & didn't die.
Saw this truck going very slow today.
17k dozer
At least 5k of trailer
Total: 22k (or more)
The trailer appears to have two 8k axles, plus whatever they throw on the hitch (2k on the stock version with two 7k axles).
