Is it anything like wild plum? Not familiar with Damson plum. I like wild plum jelly, and also wild Mustang grape jams and jellies.
I will ask and see if they are considered wild plums

well wife and cousin finished up the canning of peaches and peach chutney last night all we got to can now is some tomatoes if they ever get ripe.<img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=331101"/>

It is peach time here too! My wife's uncle brought her fresh peaches and habanero peppers. The dark ones are spiced peach habanero jam. The lighter ones are habanero peach jam. The last one is purdy hot. :fiery:

OK, that does it! Now I am jealous! I love to can, pickle, make preserves and jelly and eat the stuff. Now I am seeing peaches and habaneros together? I think I am in love! (With the food combo.)

It is good. I love her strawberry jalapeno the best though.

We have a wild plumb. Around here it is called sand hill plumb. Wounder if it is the same? The fruit starts out light green then ripens red. About 3/4" - 1" Grows on a thorny bush that grows in thickets

Interesting combination. I had a beautiful peach tree at one of my houses, but I am selling that house and my new trees are not producing yet. Many of those peaches never made it to the table. Nothing like a ripe peach, still warm from the sun, picked right off the tree and eaten right there.
