How thick is that ice, and hot is that stove......... Cooked out many times when I was a deer hunter, sleeping in a tent with a sleeping bag in 20 degree weather just dont get it anymore. Looks like you have it down to fun though.

Danny in that particular area last March we had about 40 inch of ice, as for the whether it was very mild, it's a way of life for us and we enjoy it very much...cag

40" of ice in March, lets see............not for this boy, but I am sure you guys enjoy it. The difference being, you see ice as recreation, I see it as trapped. I noticed an ice drill (I guess that is what you call it) in the photo of the stove. Do you really drill a hole and drop a line in the water like we have seen on the tube so many times. I know you have to have a hole, but I was thinking bigger than that drill looks.

If'n that's out Ice fishing you should get a heated hut and enjoy all the comfoets of home. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Never ever again will I stand outside slowly turning into a block of ice while supposedly jigging a line and calling it fishing.

My Father seemed to enjoy it a lot and there were too many days of frozen body parts for me to ever call it enjoyable. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Looks to me like a great fish but at my age the only ice I want to see is in my mixed drink.

"last March we had about 40 inch of ice, as for the whether it was very mild"

So by very mild do you mean 20 F below, more? Mild enough to hang out on an ice cube I guess.

With that much ice I can imagine a heated hut being very handy. If that little drill is the hole size then how did you pull that big ol' fish through it?

OK I know some of you guy's don't like the cold /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I work and play in it, good boots, good coat, good gloves, and your all set... the ice drill makes 9 inch holes, the largest allowed by law for my area, and I never caught a fish that didn't fit true it /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifand yes you do have all the ice in the world for your drinks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif as for the fishing hut, ok you got me, it's out in the open, I confessed, I'm simply to lazy to drag it out there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif..cag
