So I updated my profile. Added some "stuff", more on that later.....

But I also tried to add a signature block. My name and a smile. After doing so, it looked to be OK, I went and read some posts. I noticed all my OLD posts had the new signature block appended to the OLD post.

So.... My name would appear twice. Now being laid back, I don't think I need to keep reminding everyone who I am.

Can you look into it, or was it discussed and noted earlier?

I did not look very deep for this "feature" in the postings.

Thanks!

That is the way database and such work. For each post is a link to your signature in your profile - whether or not you had one. As soon as you change you change or add a signature it will be changed on all of your posts. To save space - and proper database design - is they don't store the signature with each post, just a link to it. Hope this helps with your confusion of why your name is showing up twice on your old posts.

I guess the real question is why did it take you so long to setup a signature? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
