To those that can't really see the use of a logging winch, on this terrain it's quit nice to have a winch.
I completely agree, you live in logging winch country.

You're not missing anything. You don't need one. Now if you want one, that's different. But you don't need one.
We all have our own personal calculations regarding time saved vs. $$ spent. Then you have to factor in the "having fun" factor. I don't "need" a tractor either, but it certainly makes my life easier.
Use ropes to get down and up on the worst places, and those on the bottom hooking on must watch out for stones coming down when the log goes up. But it's fun in its own way.wow trees growing out of rocks!!! if i needed to clear that off id just light a match lol good lord what a mess that would be to work in, slip n fall n break a leg or bust ur head open i have it so easy here
If we looked at everything from a strictly financial viewpoint we all would be living in one room apartments and eating Raman noodles every night. With my first winch I cut enough wood off my property to pay myself back for the land; now I am doing the same to pay myself back for the Uniforest which I bought last year.We all have our own personal calculations regarding time saved vs. $$ spent.
