Tractor
NH TL-100A with Bush Hog 5045 FEL, WR Long 3rd function, LS XR4155HC w/FEL, WR Long 3rd Function.
Ordered a tree puller from SkidPro right before Christmas and it's being delivered today. 6 day delivery, over Christmas, is excellent!

We have lots of Yaupons growing around base of most of our oak trees. I have been cutting them off, just above ground, and treated cut stump with 25% Remedy and 75% diesel with great results. This is a time consuming work since we have so many. I'm hoping this tree puller will speed up the process.

Will start with it installed on our LS XR4046HC (46 HP - 2500 lb. lift / 4354 lb. breakout) which already has the WR Long 3rd function installed. For the really big ones and some of the cedars I need to take out, I can install it on our New Holland TL100A (96 HP - 5000 lb. lift /6000lb. breakout). I keep our 84" grapple installed on the TL100A most of the time.

More later after it arrives and I yank out a few Yaupons.

Don't know why the TBN app added " mid-mount mower" to thread title???

Really nice!

I've got a similar homemade one on my 3pt for mesquite. Not sure I'd be able to see it up front

Nive value! Must be AT LEAST half as good as ones like mine that cost twice as much right? Video ASAP!

Easy unload from FedEx trailer with my tractor and pallet forks. Truck was here less than 15 minutes. The back door of trailer was open less than 5 minutes. Don't understand why some equipment vendors want to deliver to a "commercial" address or freight terminal causing me to have to hook up a trailer, drive there and back, and end up using my tractor and pallet forks to unload from my trailer and waste half a day in the process. :-(

The tree puller was delivered on a sturdy pallet which I intend to store it on.

Working out the hydraulic fittings to match the 3rd function QD's on FEL so, a trip to Tractor Supply is in order to get this thing operating soon.

I actually looked hard at the Danuser Intimidator and like it better than the Bradco Jaws but, since my primary use will be pulling 1-2" Yaupons I think the SkidPro will serve me well. For my needs didn't see any advantage in 2 moving jaws.

Ya, my estimation was that 2 would be better but it was an expense decision! It was/is just a guess.

If thats the case mine must be half as good as it cost almost half as rigustafson . I started to build me one but after pricing everything it was going to cost only a little less than what I bought from Palletforks.com.. It does a good job and lots of enjoyment seeing those trees and brush being uprooted never to return. Makes you want to ride around looking for something to pull or move.

Probably not as robust as some of the others but it holds up to anything that I have the power to lift. I'm using it on a 64hp skid steer and its great for pulling small trees and brush from fence lines. Probably won't be quiet as easy to use on a tractor loader at first but you'll get use to it because you might not be able to see what you're grabbing. If you're not around a fence no problem.

I still can't load new pictures ?? I've tried everyday and everything since the upgrade and no luck. Here's the one I bought. $775 delivered to my door by Fedex.

FWIW, I can
see the last foot or so of mine while in the seat. But of course visibility would be better still in a skidsteer.

I just seen in the lower left of my screen it says (Javascript size) after the download fails. I'm using a desktop PC (windows 7) slow DSL is all I can get.

The picture that did load was taken with an old camcorder. The ones taken with my iphone won't load but they used to until about a week ago. Pix taken with iphone were installed on my PC, I don't use my smartphone online much. I tried clearing the cache on my computer but didn't help.

Do you think my pictures now are to large. If so I'll have to go online to figure out how to resize them. Thanks.

Your picture is 1600x1200. I have seen some very large pictures posted, like three times that size, so unless the recent changes are limiting the size, that isn't your problem.

I use Paint.net, a free photo editor program, for re-sizing, cropping and annotating pictures.

Try this, it still works for me: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/photos/107314-photo-posting-how-3.html?highlight=#post3967120

You'll get a lot of use out of your tree puller!!!

I built one a couple years ago and use it a LOT. My tree of choice is the dreaded Eastern Red Cedar. They root shallow in a clump rather than a tap root. I've pulled some Cedars with my previous 44HP tractor that it could barely carry without trying to tip over!!!!

I see no use for a double jaw puller.

It's difficult to see a puller on a tractor with FEL but you'll get used to it and learn how to capture said tree. :)

It only took 2 days to finally get this crappy photo to upload. Thanks for the help. Besides the price what caught my eye was the shaft that the moving side is attached to goes all the way from top to bottom and a pretty hefty shaft at that but it don't have grease zerks. I could add some but probably not its not like its moving continuously and would take lots of years to wear out.

This is the lighter of the 2. It has 3" x 3" heavy wall for the frame the other has 4" x 4" and both have the 1" thick teeth. I've added a plate to cover the fittings protruding from the cylinder after breaking one off and having to take the cylinder apart and weld on a new fitting. What a job!! I should've had a welder to do it but it works and no i'm not going to post pix of the welding:)

You're the man thanks. It says 1000 Kb max for pix. The ones I downloaded were about 450 Kb. Had to resize them. I'll quit talking about the pix sorry everybody for the interruptions.

You two ..... Take this outside! :)

If we hadn't done that you wouldn't be able to see those ugly pictures I posted. Happy pulling with your tree puller. Worth its weight in gold. Saves a lot of getting on and off to hook up chains. Wow I don't miss that.

Yep, that's how I started out. Front end loader, chains, etc. Spent more time on the ground than on tractor.
