sluggish pedal

The HST pedal on my bx2230 is sluggish in returning from the forward position. It used to respond smoothly with the motion of my foot but lately it is slow to return. In fact a few times its taken a second or two when I ease off the gas causing some close calls.

I do not have this problem when going in reverse. Any thoughts on what would be causing this?

Lack of grease on the pivot ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My B2910 had a similar problem when it was new .... after awhile it just went away.

Well you can grease it till the cows come home... will not do anything..

Do a search on this topic since it has been talked about a lot. Even my own BX22 did it. This is a common issue here and Kubota does nothing to correct it.

My 23 does it but only uNtil the tranny fluid warms up,I believe mine is a tranny thing not a pedal thing,im carefull until it warms up a bit.

My bx 23 does it also . It started at 16 hours on the clock does it hot or cold.

I got it new last Nov and didn't have any problems with the pedal until this summer after the first 50 hrs service.

After some searching through the forum it seems the problem can be due to different things and adjustments help some or not at all. I'm going to call the dealer and ask them to fix it. It might not help but I've got to try.

My dealer told me that most times it jsut need to be adj. I was thinking it was some bearings in the rear hyd but I called Kubota on it.

I have a BX23. My pedal sticking comes and goes. I've made the adjustments suggested and it does make some difference.
Alos, one time, the rear of the rod, the section with the spring, that the pedal attaches to was covered with dirt, I cleaned it off and it didn't stick as much.
