I've put on about 1,100 hrs on my
B7800 (bought it with 738 hrs). I have done things with it that some would call abuse; however, true "abuse" tends to produce breakages or premature failings; my
B7800, though it looks like it's gone through a war, is still operating fully and capably. I could only claim one breakage in all those hours that I could claim was abuse, and that was bending a lower link arm: pushing with my indestructible box blade, at an angle (had done it plenty of times before but this one time that was it!). Parts costs on smaller tractors are small-ish.
Here's a G-rated operation from back when I was reconstructing a moved 10'x20' shed (even this would have put OSHA inspectors into cardiac arrest!):
The disassembly (holding sections of the roof up- not a truss roof- a real juggling act!):
I'd bought the
B7800 before I'd even moved on to [this] property. It is a war-proven companion of which I never wish to part with. I could almost operate it with my eyes closed I'm so familiar with operating it in an insanely number of differing situations. Trailblazing duties have mostly subsided (most of property now discovered) and it's now mostly out "to pasture" doing grounds-keeping work around the home site (KIoti is now expanding and maintaining the larger reaches of my property).
I've done things with this
B7800 that if I'd post about them I'm sure that someone would find a reason to lock me up!
I can raise up the
B7800's bucket and climb up and into it, going from tractor seat and over along the loader stiffening bars (running parallel to the engine), like it's a jungle-jim. Great as a ladder!
