In the years before the popularity of FEL snow plows, I modified a Western 78" Jeep plow and mounted it to the FEL of my old 17 hp Kubota B7100HST. I don't have pictures but it looked like an ant pushing a cigar butt. I plowed for many years with that rig.

I also dug a 40' x 30' x 5' deep building foundation with the same tractor. Took a while but it got the job done.

Never under rate the capability of these little CUT's!

I'm not sure where people decided this post was about abusing small tractors. Its about using them within their limits, just taking longer to do bigger jobs. Instead of using a larger faster tractor with multiple plows to make one pass, use the smaller ones to accomplish the same task taking single passes. Its about using the attachments safely and within the limits of the tractors but getting the job done maybe slower. Its more and more the internet safety police are coming in to save the day, yet no one said abuse the rigs to get things done. I just don't get it. Here are a number of links especially the B1620 video showing what you can accomplish with these little rigs. Maybe you don't need the massive big tractor, just take your time to get things done.

Don't see abuse in these videos, but their getting things done with the little rigs.

Yeah I laugh when I see those little b7100's. They are a tractor alright, just a little smaller. But they are impressive. They look to be good with the agricultural tires on them and such. When did they stop making those? What would you expect to pay for a used one.

You are very right VroomVroom.

Here is a personal example. I have a 2 ha piece of land that I need to clear every year. The brush from one year to the next one grows to about 55 inches high. When I had the little Kubota B7000, it took me 10 to 12 hours of mowing to clear everything. Now with this new tractor I can do it in 4 to 5 hours. Yet I didn't abuse any of the tractors. It just gets the job done.

yes. I think the reason I think of it as when I was a kid, more people owned small tractors then I see now as most had farms or gardens to tend to. Most, had smaller 35 or 40 year old tractors which are that much older today. Those old farmers got it done one way or the other. And the tractors are still going. Being as small as they were.

I was out on my property doing some work and a potato farmer stopped and we got to talking and he said that's a good looking toy you have their . It was my Kubota M5700 , as they are use to those big JD's up here . As for my 2650 I pull a 6ft. cultivator , use a 5ft. roto tiller , a 6ft. disc harrow , 5ft. rotary cutter on light duty jobs , and a 5ft. snow blower . I take my time with it and it always amazes me the work it will do .

I was able to take out this nice pine with a 30 hp L3010. It took a little at a time but we got it done. Here are some pieces of it.
