kenny/duffster - is this the same as for motors? And can it be placed on the attachment, rather than in the tractor plumbing?

I have the valve mounted on my plow. I am not sure about using it with motors but I guess it would work.

any chance you could post a picture of how its set up?

Its downstream from the bulkhead quick connects, right?

Here is the one on my plow, it's mounted to the frame that extend back to the center of the tractor.

In this oic it doesn't have the hoses installed yet.

I actually bought a plow that was meant for a CUT loader and converted it to my skidloader.

I have both a chain lift and down pressure built into it, very handy.

Goes to show one is never to old to learn something new and this is another reason I like visiting this site. :)

Great info guys on that valve. I didn't know one existed! That being said I understand what it does and how it works but it got me wondering if something like that is already built into Kubota's 3rd function valve because the blade acts the same way as it did when it was on my pick up truck.
If I hit an obstacle side on, the cylinders would by-pass and the angle would change a small bit to cushion the impact. I noticed it acted the very same way after I adapted it to the tractor so it got me thinking there may already be a by-pass system in the Kubota 3rd function solenoids. Good info guys.

Quarter inch of frost on my car yesterday morning. Darn it, time to start thinking of that four letter word again... SN@W

My real simple version that I've used since the fall of 05. I made improvements for the lift chain but otherwise it remains much like this. As I mentioned above, I plan to make another version with the plow much closer to the tractor. Thanks to all of you for the great ideas!!

It is possible that there is a relief built in but the odds of it being setup properly for the plow are slim.

thank you very much duffster/kenny. Looks like a pretty simple install? You guys have definitely convinced me its the way to go.

Is the relief adjustable? (the link shows 1500-3k, but doesn't seem to have details?) If so, I'm guessing it should be set under the tractor relief pressure, right? If not, and the tractor relief is 2500 (that's an assumption I have to check) where would you go with it?

Do you think it matters that my front remotes are electric over hydraulic?

Thanks so much for your help. This is definitely going on the plow
