Except for a 4 year stint in the Air Force three of which I
spent in Alaska, I have lived in southern Ohio for 58 years. I
have never seen snow rollers. The first I heard of them was
yesterday here on this board. I went to my father-in-laws last
night and He had many of them in his yard. Looked rather
neat and strange at the same time.

I was around BG when that storm hit - Power out 3-4 days - Schools closed for a week + - Had National Guard in to plow Roads. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif --- BG also home to Scott Hamilton - 4 time world and US and 1984 Olympic Figure Skating

I just went to the NFM Show in Louisville, KY from Columbus, OH. I had never heard of snow rollers before, but upon entering the Cincinnati area, they were everywhere. I wanted to snap pics on the way back through, but was concentrating on the icy roads instead.

When I saw the title of your post I was expecting to see one of those big wooden rollers drawn by a team of horses in the old days to pack down the road ( before plows ).

Never seen such a thing...but find that kind of stuff fascinating.

Thanks for the lead...now I'll have to spend a few hours on the 'net researching this.
