I had a BX1850 for 2 yrs.and cleared my driveway with the front loader and boxblade on the rear to do clean-up,the 2 of them worked great for me. I traded the 1850 for a BX25 this summer and just got a 50" front mount snowblower for it,but haven't had any snow to try it out. I have the boxblade on the rear for ballast and for maybe pulling snow away from areas I can't get with the blower.I want to see how this set up works and maybe next year get a rear blade and maybe a Curtis cab. I've read a lot of good reviews about the BX2750 blower and am just waiting to try it out. It's snowing here now in Massachusetts, but only have about 2" out there now,so don't think it's even worth firing up for that.I'll try and get some pictures to post once I get to use it.

I'm loving the box blade for light cleanup after plowing. Basically now the method is:

1. Plow with ATV.
2. Snowblow a couple rows on the outsides where the snow is piled up with my walkbehind
3. drag the BB to clean up and scrape that packed stuff from cars driving through the snow before plowing.
4. Move piles with bucket.

I just need to install tunes on my BX now like I have on my ATV. :) Makes the job more enjoyable.

Hey, Fish, I see you have ladder chains on your BX, which I believe has the same frame as my BX25. Don't you have a clearance problem with the frame on the rear wheel chains, and also with the steering mechanism on the front wheel chains?

(It may be that the additional frame member running between the front and the rear of my tractor is unique to the BX25 since it comes with a backhoe, but I am sure the front tire clearance on my BX25 must be the same as your BX.)

I tried putting chains on, but the clearances were just too tight and I believe I am going to have to add wheel spacers, which will be another $600 or so of expense.

There is plenty of clearance all around on the rears. On the fronts, the chains get a little close to the tie rod ends but even if they did rub a little it's nothing some touch up paint couldn't fix. Once I get the chains centered, I keep them very tight. This is my 4th season using them and so far so good.

I did get a pretty stiff neck.
Will have to replace my mirror.
Just mounted 2 lights on the rear fenders pointing backwards as I have a rear mount blower.

fish, I just looked at a BX20something at the dealer, with turf ties on, and yes, there is a lot of clearance on the rear that I don't have on my BX25. But the fronts look the same as mine, and so maybe I could try chains on the front as is, and just get wheel spacers for the rear. It just looks really tight up there.

1*Unless you have a cab and a heater, then your trying to clear the whole street:D:D:D
ALAN
2* YEAH rub it in . :laughing::laughing:

For me (in SE Michigan), with 3/10 mile of private single lane road to plow and 200' of driveway, the front blade on my my BX is the right tool. It goes pretty quick and I can push the snow farther back if I need to.
2*If we get a real heavy storm I can put the loader on and move piles,
2*
My loader and is alwqays on the BX23 and the front blade is always on the BX1500.

More fun than eating worms now that I can turn the discharge chute by pushing a button
