Key work you used was "remember". It's in the past. Here's some of your green prosperity TODAY in Pittsburgh. HS

Boy HS. Really? I mean Really? Have you ever been to Pittsburg? Clearly your limit of travel is Texas.

Pittsburg is one heck of a city. HUGELY Prosperous. It success story. More than a success story. Its a model that many industrial cities (detroit?) could learn from. The toxic waste from unregulated industries is getting cleaned up, its use of green technology in new buildings and revitalization of the old is setting examples worldwide.

Turn your Fox and Friends off, Get out of texas. Travel, See the world,

I see you are not in Pittsburg yourself. If you have ever really traveled yourself you would know pollution is not a real issue in the United States, and hasn't been for decades. HS.

Nor are you. So your point? For you edification I was just in Pittsburg, on my way around the world. It was for work, not a vacation. Yes, Americas pollution level has really improved. And having had the good fortune to see the places I did, we are out ahead of many other countries.

What I don't get hs is that you made a completely false statement. When called on it your response was neither to defend your point nor apologize for the error. Instead you insinuated that because I do not call Pittsburg home I have no knowledge of the city, then threw out a random thought on the state of pollution in the us that has no bearing on my finding your assessment of a city incorrect.

I'm not the one who intimated our past was a record of pollution, choking every US citizen to death and we are just the survivors of those horrible times brought on by greed and large corporations looking for profits at the expense of life, and then post a picture. I'm just setting the record straight while you hide behind your green skirt, and make accusations. I make no false statements I show a real picture of Pittsburg today, another big liberal yestercity, where jackbooted black thugs stand at voting entrances with clubs ready to keep the poor voting for more democrats, while the industry and jobs pickup and leave. Anyone done any research on these new lithium anode batteries? If they can get these batteries into production and they can be made cheaply, this would go a long ways to making a more viable electric vehicle among many other uses. Of course you still have the power grid issues, of where the power is going to come from and how to deliver it.

Will we strip the planet bare to get all the lithium?

Built some machines that they (think #2 li producer) from Chile they used the directional drills to drill down into the liquid salt pockets and sucked it out, injected into pipes and sucked back out... the $300K machines were shot (rotted away) after 2 years do to the corrosive nature of the :LI salt/calcium and such.

The Dry Lake Beds were just dried out salt crystals floating on top of the heavy salt/mixture. Holes appear and crust sinks some and forms more crystals on top as sun/wind high altitude evaporate it off.
