As nice as it sounds, another company would be "green" with envy, taking over Kubota's spot at Messick's, if this were to happen, guess I'll have to visit Pa and shoot Messick :)

Thanks for the clarification Neil.

From this and a couple other experiences, I've concluded that corp. Kubota (USA and Canada) does not know how to deal with this 'internet thingy'.

Fortunately they make great tractors which have few if any issues to begin with.

JMHO.

There is internet speed and then there is people speed.

They need to work, hand in hand.

Actually, that makes me feel much better. The only plausible explaination before now had words like "gunshy", "censorship", and "corporate bullying" somewhere in the discussion.

I guess those words still apply, but to hear that it was "one of us" having these threads removed certainly puts it in a different light. Obviously, it is unfortunate the whole thing played out the did...the whole thing rubbed me the wrong way, really...but I have a great deal of appreciation for Messicks and Neil's contributions to this forum. As such, if he was asked to fix something for Kubota Corporate, as a business owner, he would be crazy to not try to make it happen. I would have done the exact same thing.

Of course, somewhere along the way, a very brief explaination would have been nifty. But that's just me. Thank you very much for your continued participation.

I plan to jump ship as soon as I can afford it... I'll never look back, either. Those that say Kubota is the best, must have miss a tread or two about their "Standard" tractor line.

PS. I bought first, then found TBN :(

And hence the value of TBN. A little research goes a long way. I am sure if you were not having problems with a particular product line a more satisfying post would be in order?

Messick, personally I think that this entire debate has been much ado about nothing. I do appreciate your desire to share info, but I also can understand Kubota's position as well. It really is not a "big thang."

I think if you look back probably the day after the original thread was removed the moderator posted an explanation stating that Neil had ask that his thread be removed. What more explanation was needed?

Absolutely, 100%, completely, and entirely true.

Please note, however, that the Kubota area of this forum HAS ABOUT AS MANY THREADS AND POSTS AS GREEN, BLUE, AND THE OTHER ORANGE (Kioti) COMBINED.

If nothing else, we's a passionate bunch.

Keith, I have had a not so pleasant experience with Kubota (traded in 2800 for 4240 which didn't work out), but I am still a loyal Kubota customer. I've looked at the JD's, the Cases, the New Hollands, and others. IMO, there is still not a better brand out there; and I will stick with Orange for the long term.
