The 2009 Honda Big Red and Artic Cat Prowler XTX will also have EFI. The ONLY way to go in my opinion. No belts is the reliable way to travel. Love the twin-cylinder, should be much smoother than the "thumpers." However, a bit reluctant to go with the first year of a new model. Kubtoa had some teething problems with the RTV900. Does Kubota use the engine or transmission in other products? Wish it would do 40 on the flat, but some manufacturers have evidently decided for liability reasons to hold the speed down. Polaris has their neck out with the RZR!

I believe it is the ASAE (american society of automotive engineers) which has recommended the speed limit of either 25 or 30. It is not a federal law but a guideline. Helps keep the lawyers at bay with some type of existing policy. However, polaris, yamaha and others went their own way. All but the smallest ATV's go faster than 30. A side by side still seems safer than an ATV. Side by side is wider, has seat belts, and some degree of roll over protection and carries 2 people easier.

I just had my dealer install the free doors Yamaha came out with to address rollovers. Many people have been injured in a rollover by sticking their leg out as reflex when a Rhino rolls, it weighs about 1000 lbs so you better have one very muscular leg if you want to try that

I wonder how long before the other UTV sideXside makers decide to do the same?

Are the doors removable? Yes, for hot-doggers they will avoid injuries with rollovers, but putting around the property the doors would be a nuisance.

You are right they are a pain, I'll have to relearn completely how to get into and out of the thing after a couple of years of just jumping in or out. It also makes it hard when it is on the trailer because the doors hit the trailer sides and you gotta squeeze in or out....

how can the doors hit the sides of the trailer? they seem to fit inside the rops not outside.and if you load it in a trailer they are low enough to step over to get into the rhino if needed.

$8,800.00 seems high, we are selling XUV's for $9,299.00 and the XUV is heads and heels the better machine. I am sure this is nice, and that dealer may have just been pricing high, but 8.8K does sound high.

Why they hit the sides of the trailer by opening them

Yes you can climb over if you want to stand up IN the ROPS and maybe hit your head on the two overhead crossbars that span sideways between the left and right ROPS. The front of the doors is waist high when on the ground, and I'm 6'1"

Point being the easy way to get in or out is to OPEN the doors, not wrong just different than what comes naturally after a few years of ownership.
