Source help needed

I am currently working on modifying a snow blade for my CUT. Part of that modification is making angled wings for it. I'm on the downside of the project (good thing because snow will be here before we know it) but I'm looking for a source or an idea of some kind of rubber stripping to use for the wings. It would have to be at least 3 inches wide but I only need a couple of 1 foot long pieces. I have one of those horse stall mats that I could cut a strip out of but it has a different pattern on each side and I would like to have something smooth on at least one side. I would appreciate any ideas or supply sources.

I purchased a 5 foot wide, 6 inch high, 1 inch thick rubber snow plow blade from them four years ago to mount on my rear blade for snow removal. I seem to recall that the cost was less than $40. After three years I am still on the first edge with little wear.

at work we use old conveyer belting, we have it free but places here sell it for about 2.50 a square metre

You live in the right part of the country for what I am suggesting. Artic cat snowmobile track. its what i used back in the 60s. If not that go to a stone crushing plant an see if they have any old conveyor belts. Good luck in your quest.I to see guys recycle old stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I have a friend with a semi rig and a couple of old mudflaps that he'll give me. That should keep me supplied for quite a while.

Turns out my friend's old mudflaps were not in good enough condition for me to use. But I did get lucky while browsing my local TSC. Turns out they sell belting material by the foot in different widths. For $10 I bought a foot of 10 inch wide material that will give me 3 sets of scrappers for my snow plow wings. I was really hoping to to recycle something that would work for me and save some money but this find was the next best thing. Thanks again for all your suggestions.
