I have noticed an uptick in spam messages in the last few days.

One type uses random letters of the alphabet in the thread title (and user name, location, etc.) and has links for a supposed Valium source.

Another type uses random digits in the title and contains a rambling dialogue with links.

Is there any way to cut these messages off at their sources?

Hasn't been nearly as bad here as it has been on another related site.

Use Mozilla Firefox and ad blocker....I do and see no ads at all...none !

Brin,
They're talking about spammers that register as a TBN user then post in the forums with links to sites.
Thery're not talking about ads.

Regards,
M.R.

I have never seen any of the spam posts...I guess they are removed fairly quickly.

I have seen (and reported) only one spam message since the change in registration procedures.
