Are you sure you have enough rafter supports ? I see you have 2 wooden trusses and one metal with span of 12ft apart ? Is this enginnered for snowload ?

To be totally honest with you, no ... I am not sure. I am going on the faith of the company that sold me the building. I do know that I have had the plans approved according to the local building code department, and I am sure this is not the first building in the area built with these plans. It is a local company.

Fingers crossed :)

This is the progress I have made since Saturday. I work very slow ... even being on that small building makes me nervous about falling ... but I have the entire roof on except for the cap at the peak. My goal tonight is to get everything on the roof and eaves done. It is supposed to rain tomorrow ... I don't want that to make a huge mess by having a half done roof ...

Progress! ... slowly but surely. Thanks again for all the help and advice y'all have provided!

I got my roof all done last night! Tonight I am getting 15 tons of limestone screenings delivered to level the floor out for concrete. I am going to rent a small plate compactor and be best friends with my shovel. I didnt want to side before I did the screening because of heat. The roof should keep the floor area dry ... at least that's the idea ...:)

I don't have any recent pictures, I am going to stop by home this morning and take a few pictures. I have gotten all the siding done, a retaining wall, concrete done and the finish excavating. Plus almost all of my gravel ... stay tuned ...

Ok, here are the photos. We had some heavy rains last night, and i am noticing a few drips on the concrete. I need to track those down and possibly refill some holes on the roof, but other than that, we are good to go.

Hopefully you guys enjoy the photos, I am proud of the work minus all the dumb mistakes made along the way :)

I started my metal work this weekend. I got three of the eaves done, and started the roof last night. I have had a couple of oops moments and missed the purlins with the roofing screws. Is there any advice for repairing those holes? ...or have I junked the metal? I was thinking a little dab of caulk in and out would take care of it ...i am not sure, though...

I don't have any pictures right now, it was too dark last night when i finished to take any.

My building kit came with about a dozen oops screws. Slightly larger diameter, rubber washer, about 3/8" long. Just put them into the oops hle and tighten. Luckily I did not need them.

Man, that's really nice. I like the clear panels at the top of the walls. If I were to build another one I'd do that, since I have plenty of open space and sunlight here. Anyway, it looks great...makes me want to build another one!!

And the next time you are working on ANY project and your wife pulls the old "are you sure you know what you are doing" routine, just point at your building and say yes.
