Hello recently upgraded to a bigger utility tractor from a smaller ford 7209 and the issue is the stabilizer spacing for bottom implement pins. the stabilizers won’t come in enough to hook both pins in the ball bearings and wondered what the solution was for that is there was one instead of having to buy all new attachments. Any help is appreciated thanks

For me it would be to drag each implement into shop and fabricate/modify each to fit new tractors dimensions.... The cost of a days labor and materials for fabrication would probable be a lot less then replacing implements and the having to leave old implements littering property or trying to find a buyer to make them go away....

Looking at picture you supplied I think I would get a CAT "X" (CAT 1-2-3) drawbar that fits your tractor and just bolt or weld implement to drawbar

Great idea, would rather not have to buy all new. don’t think longer hitch pins on each end of implement would do the job? Too much stress on pin?

Did you go from a cat I 3ph to a cat II?

The spacing is different for the pins. 26" vs 32"

It also looks like your bale spear is a homemade spear that isnt even 26" cat I dimensions.

Have no idea what a 7209 ford is. Never heard of it. And you list a 5075e in your profile.....which is a deere model number but dont look like a deere in the pic.

What was the old tractor?
What is the new tractor?
What is the current spacing between the pins on that spear?

If you unpin both stabilizers will the lower arms swing in close enough then?

Or as has been mention modify the bale spear to cat 2 sizing, saw off the end plates add on more square tubing and reinstall
the end plates with cat 2 pins.

Old ford the 7209 was loader for it. I didn’t get a 5075 too liteweight, I have a Massey 4707. May be homemade but it fit the smaller ford just fine. The tractor I have now is a 75 horse

Using tiny attachments on the Massey is a bit of a mismatch. Like Lou said....unpin the stabilizers.

Haven’t tried that yet firgured I’d need to rejoin them anyways and wouldn’t swing back to do it

Just trying not to have to go get all new attachments

My dad bought a bigger tractor that has a cat 2 3pt and like you, has cat 1 attachments. He gets by but the bigger tractor can easily over power the small equipment.

Know what you mean, his lift arms reach his old attachments? Just need to fit bale spear a landscape rake and a box blade all other attachments will be same class for this size tractor.

He just uses a rear blade, wood splitter, rotary cutter behind his tractor. I can't remember if he has stabilizers or not and I doubt if he would tighten them if he did.

You went from a 4000lb tractor with cat I hitch to a 8000lb tractor with cat II.

Break out the welder and make if fit if you insist on using cat I implements

I went from a Ford 1700 to my Kubota M6040. Several of the implements that fit the Ford were useless - just to light. They would have been even more useless on the Kubota.

So...... Over the last thirteen years I have slowly upgraded to Cat 2 implements. NO - it is NOT cheap. The grapple/third function was - $4750. The Rhino 950 rear blade was - $4000. The Wallenstein BX62S was - $4500. Unfortunately - in this corner of the world there are no smaller tractor used implements for sale. 450hp to 600hp - there are plenty. I looked for 30+ years and finally gave up.

But that's the main reason I got the Kubota. I'm retired and have all the time in the world. But not enough time for implements that will not do their job.

My last implement upgrade will be either a HD set of disks or a HD rototiller.

My M6040 with the grapple, RimGard loaded rear tires & Rhino rear blade - 10,100#.
