Now that I traded my ck20 for my ck30, I started a new project that the ck20 wasnt really able to do.

Going to dig a pond for fishing, ther is a stream about 6' to right of where the pod will be, I dug down about 3' and I hit water.

It is slow digging its ALL Rocks with a little dirt holding them in place.
I took a starting pic, As I progress I will update w/ new pic's
I dont have allot of time to put into it, so it will be a couple of hours here and there till its done.

Where are you?

That's some nasty looking digging.

With that amount of water already I'm thinking you'll need to get something a bunch bigger to dig out the pond.

As I've mentioned a number of times on the forum, you may want to consider renting an excavator for a project that big, will make quick work of it.

Not to mention a bunch of fun to opperate.

Prior post was a good question, are you stuck, if not, I'm affraid you maybe soon and if there is a supply of water getting out can be next to impossible.

Good luck with your project,
Joel

Woo hoo. Looks fun but by the bye you'll be stuck soon fer sure.

How big do you want the pond to be? I bet an excavator would have it dug out in no time and you could still play with the tractor to smooth the dirt out.

Nope not stuck, I tried REAL hard to see if she would get stuck, had the front axle buried to the top of the front tires, but she kept on going, I think its all the rocks mixed in the keep me from sinking in to far, I will take another pic tomorrow, he had some rain and now there is about 1' to 2' of water in it. My buddy has a new mini excavator, one of these weekends he's gonna bring it over and we will make some serious progress with the two machines.
Mifflinburg, Pa. (45 miles east of State College, Pa.) is where we are at.

I'm certain Deputy will chime in, will there be water circulating in and out of the pond?

I'm thinking you need circulation for the water to stay in good condition.

Impressive little stump. That's gonna be one nice pond with that kind of flow! I'm jealous: pond and a stream. That's sweet.

Looks like a fun project, but in my state the environmental protection folks would be all over you like flies on, well you know.

I like you attitude. Do what you can with what you have and when you have the time. Eventually, you'll get it dug, but in the process, learn all sorts of lessons and have the time of your life.

Just remember, it's your pond and your project. Do it however you want.
