The other thread below got me thinking that the collective knowledge here could probably help me get this generator started.
We bought a house with a Briggs and Stratton generator hooked up to it. It has a propane conversion hooked up to it and I can't get it to start. I can't find any owners manuals for it so I am at a loss.

It is getting propane when I try to start it. The pull cord turns it over but it doesn't come close to firing. What should I check next? Spark?

Thanks

You must have 3 things for an engine to run and those are fuel, spark and compression. You need to figure out which is missing and why.

Check to make sure it has enough oil in it. Gens will often have a sensor that will keep them from starting if the oil level is low. Easy to check and fix.
